Organisers say: "A unique race in a spectacular setting. This is your chance to get up close and personal with a jewel in Moreton Bay’s crown – the famous Tangalooma Sunken Wrecks.
Set in the calm waters on the bay side of Moreton Island, the Wrecked course will take you around the wrecks, through the crystal waters of the marine park and back ashore at the world famous Tangalooma Resort. Tangalooma holds all the allure of a tropical island paradise and Wrecked is your chance to take the grand tour as either an individual or 2 person team.

Organisers say: "The Cooly Classic is Coolangatta’s newest surf challenge and encompasses three of Australia’s most revered surf breaks – Snapper Rocks, Coolangatta and Kirra.
Coolangatta is world famous for its surf sports culture and the Cooly Classic celebrates the very essence of this iconic beach destination - sun, sand & surf. Whether you’re an ironman or ironwomen contender looking for a hitout, or a newcomer to ocean swimming, the Cooly Classic will not disappoint you. The course starts at the popular Snapper Rocks surf break and follows the coast north where the finish line awaits at Kirra Beach.
The Cooly Classic also features a short course option which is perfect for nippers or less experienced ocean swimmers.

Hervey Bay is famous for its clear water and its whale watching. Now, you, too, can be one of those whales. Our friend Killer from the Tweed River has done this swim on a couple of occasions now and he reckons it's one of his favourites, such is the water quality and the welcoming atmosphere from the characters at the Hervey Bay SLSC.
Prize money for open placegetters, Male and Female, in each event, plus age group prizes and spot prizes (see hard copy entry form download for more details).

May 9, SUN: Rock to Rock Swim, Dicky Beach - Featured Swim

Organisers say: "The Rock-2-Rock Ocean Classic is set to be the finest open water swim on the Sunshine Coast... Dicky Beach is renowned for its clean surf breaks, long sandy beach and the wreck of
the SS Dicky.
"Entrants should prepare themselves for the ultimate challenge. The swimers will enter the pristine water
just south of the infamous wreck of the SS Dicky. Entrants will then head north to the rocks off Ann Street before they track back to Neil Street rocks. Finally, the entrants will return to the start line to conclude this testing race.
"Entrants are eligible to either enter the 1km or 2km open swim competition. Average water temperature for this time of year is 23ºc. No wetsuits or seal suits are permitted for the event."

Organisers say: "Kings of the Coast is the ultimate ocean swimming challenge. The 3.8km ironman distance swim is not for the faint hearted and provides the ultimate test in a challenging part of Queensland’s coastline.
With a 2 Person Team option, Kings of the Coast is a great end goal for every swimmer in the 2010 Queensland Ocean Swim Series and is set to become the pinnacle of ocean swimming in Queensland.
The course heads south from Moffat Beach where you will battle the elements, and your competitors, around an exposed headland. Your final destination awaits you at the picturesque Kings Beach.
This event also features a short course option which is perfect for youth or less experienced ocean swimmers.
Location: Kings Beach, Caloundra – 1 hr north of Brisbane.

The Unimin Straddie 1000 is the latest addition to The Straddie Salute's weekend of events and is open to anyone with a bikini or a pair of boardies. The calm waters of Cylinder Beach provide the perfect setting for the 1.0km course which is achievable for any ability. So whether it's a new ocean swimming experience you're looking for or the cash prize of $1000 you're chasing (winner takes all!), make sure you're on the island by 3:00pm Saturday 9th for Queensland's newest ocean swim.

2km, 750m, first ocean swim on what the organisers say is the most beautiful beach in the world. It is very beautiful, as you'll see from their website. The organisers of the Whitehaven Beach Swim on Hamilton Island after the success of last year and the fun that was had by all are going to run the event again, which takes place on what they say is the most beautiful beach in the world ...
It is a must do event, Whitehaven Beach 2km and 700m Ocean Swim Friday 12 November 2010.
